Meet Dr. Carolyn Eddleston MBBS. Dip.Ac. MBAc.C.

Carolyn bridges two world views of medicine with ease. She was an NHS licensed General Practitioner for 25 years, finishing in 2017, and has been a Traditional Acupuncturist for the last 24 years and runs a thriving clinic in Leicestershire.

Her practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, based on Taoism, that honors the unique connection that humans have with the natural world. We stand with our heads in the heavens, and our feet rooted in the earth. We are alchemists that transmute breath, food and thought into nourishment for the body, mind and spirit.

Healing is a vast topic that has been misinterpreted as something that is done to us by someone or something external to ourselves. In fact, healing is a universal wisdom of self-correction that we know in our bodies—our inner nature— and observe in outer nature. Carolyn encourages her clients to find their own internal medicine, to express themselves fully & share their unique gifts with the world.

Her approach is tender, bold, honest, clear, powerful and held lightly. She brings her finely-tuned intuition and vast toolkit of resources to walk with you on your journey of curiosity towards full expression, health and vitality.

Why attend an Awakening Retreat?

This retreat is an opportunity to take a break from your busy life and indulge in a soul-nourishing experience for you to spend quality time re-connecting with yourself.  It is for those who are curious about their inner journey, and those who want some much needed 'me time.' Take some time to harmonize your body, mind and spirit and cultivate your 'inner' resilience from within. 

I have never done Yoga, can I still come? 

Absolutely, my intention is to create a very safe space to enable you to meet yourself where you are without any judgment. The Yoga sessions are suitable for all levels of experience and there are no crazy bends. Promise. Just do what you can, listen to your body and have fun.

I have never done Qi Gong, can I still come? 

Absolutely, Carolyn is a very experienced Therapist and will provide suitable options to feel the energy of Qi - Gong! Come with an open mind and you will be pleasantly surprised ! 

Do you cater for dietary requirements or allergies? 

Yes, the venue will do their best to accommodate any specific dietary requirements. (For example, nut free, gluten free ,vegan etc) Please complete the survey that will be sent to you once you have booked so that the venue can make arrangements. 

Where is the Awakening Yoga Retreat taking place?

The Awakening Yoga Retreat is being held at Wootton Park Wellness Centre, Warwickshire B95 6HJ. 

What is your refund policy? 

Please note we do not offer refunds for Retreats. If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another date  (provided you give us 21 days notice).
